With gratitude and anticipation, I share my 10 years’ expedition with Codeable, a journey characterized by growth, triumph, and a supportive Codeable community.
Looking back on my incredible 10-year adventure with Codeable fills me with gratitude and pride. This journey has transformed me both personally and professionally, shaping me into the WordPress expert, IT entrepreneur, and Community contributor I am today. Let’s dive into the highlights of this journey, filled with accomplishments, challenges, milestones, and unforgettable moments.
Let’s begin by exploring my background – I am proudly one of the esteemed Certified Top Notch WordPress Experts at Codeable. In the vast world of Codeable, with over 700+ experienced WordPress experts ready to tackle WordPress, Plugins, and Theme projects, I stand tall as one of them. It’s an amazing feeling!
A Quick Look at My Journey

I’m passionate about WordPress Theme design, development, and customization. My skills cover Full-Stack including Plugin development & customization, Theme development & customization, WooCommerce, WordPress Optimization, Hacking CleanUp, WP Rest API, WordPress Security, SEO and digital marketing, and more. A decade has flown by, and each year has brought a ton of learning experiences.
The Start of My Codeable Adventure
The journey began on November 23, 2012, with an email from Per Esbensen, Codeable’s CEO. Firstly, it was introduced as http://carmivore.com, Codeable and I were linked through beta testing and launch conversations.
Codeable was launched for building a real-time outsourcing application, focused only on WordPress services, like theme customization and modification. The application itself supports real-time messaging and code collaboration from within the browser, aiming to deliver a unified WordPress support platform that would enable WP theme owners to get their themes customized regardless of whether the official provider is online or not.

Around November 24, 2012, Per’s email arrived, saying, “Surendra, I found you somewhere, and it seems you are the perfect man to work together as a first Codeable expert, one of the pioneers.”
Moving forward, as December came to a close, Per reached out to me once more, resulting in a fruitful discussion over Skype. With the system geared towards a January 2013 launch, he made sure that I was ready to be on standby for the official release date.
I vividly remember my first task at Codeable—a demo trial, which was eventually canceled. The second and third trials met the same fate. But my fourth attempt brought a feeling of pride. I successfully completed the task on January 10, 2013, I marked the platform’s first-ever accomplished task. Not only that, I completed my second task on the same day. How proud a feeling is that? This task marked the first successfully executed task in Codeable’s history.
Before joining Codeable, my journey as a freelancer encompassed roles ranging from junior developer to senior expert. Collaborating with local agencies and multinational corporations, I absorbed diverse rules and regulations.
And, these past ten years have been like a never-ending search for learning. I’ve earned a high rating of 4.94 out of 5, made hundreds of happy clients, and successfully finished thousands of projects within Codeable, which helped me learn a lot. Challenges were expected, but the important thing was how I used those experiences to change and grow.

Some key things I’ve learned are that communication is super important, building trust matters, being really good at what you do is key, and turning consultations into substantial projects are vital.
All these years, of Navigating Clients I specialize in handling complex client dynamics. Dealing with unclear project details was a challenge. I tackled this by clarifying project scopes, negotiating flexible deadlines, and maintaining continuous communication, which helped me retain clients. This approach played a pivotal role in keeping clients satisfied.
Some Voices from My Happy Customers

In cases where clients questioned project viability and sought refunds, a transparent communication strategy within Codeable’s dashboard played a pivotal role. By maintaining clear and concise conversations and ensuring project completion within deadlines, I’ve upheld a professional approach. Codeable’s support dashboard’s involvement ensures fair refunds in unfamiliar situations. If a project’s complexity or unclear instructions hinder completion, honesty prevails and full refunds are offered. Acknowledging and rectifying mistakes are a cornerstone of my approach.
Nurturing Client Relationships is also another point I have learned so far, maintaining relationships with long-term clients hinges on prompt responses to their inquiries and swift issue resolution. My diverse skill set, spanning Full stack, Plugin customization, plugin development, theme customization, theme development, Hacking CleanUp, WP Rest API, and more, enables me to tackle problems swiftly. This approach has nurtured enduring partnerships with retainer clients.
In Retrospect, the privilege of a decade with Codeable has enriched my journey. My journey’s essence lies in growth, achievement, and the vibrant community that has welcomed me.
