Finally, WordCamp Kathmandu 2018 has been concluded with a grand success on 17-18 March, 2018 at Karki Banquet, Kathmandu. The event went two days, first day its was called Conference day and as first time WordCamp Kathmandu conducted Contribution day at day two.
In two days conference, it was filled with amazing sessions, Presentations, talks, and huge networking crowd outside the halls. It was well managed, and properly organized. All the Organizers, and Volunteers looked good. All were dedicated to make this event success.
All the speakers were awesome, their speech were obviously inspiring.
I bet this event was huge success with great numbers of attendees. I think more than 350 enthusiasts were participated.
WordCamp Kathmandu 2018, day one which is also known as conference day officially started with huge number of attendees at Karki banquet, Kathmandu. Venue itself located at the mid of Kathmandu with proper settings, well managed Halls, enough parking slot. It’s separated into 2 Halls – Hall Action and Hall Filter.
Mostly, organizers and volunteers were present in the Venue at early morning. The registration started at sharp 9 o’clock. There were swags store, sponsors/ supporter’s stall, and all volunteer, organizers looked all busy to manage everything proper and smooth.
Attendees were confused with “Happiness Bar”. I think this section has to improve in next event. I dint see anyone at Happiness bar, as expected there were no attendees looking for some queries.
In this WordCamp, I experienced different than previous few WordCamps in Kathmandu. Attendees always looked rush for attending sessions all the time, but this year, I saw mostly they were busy on networking outside the halls.
Amazing After Party !!!!
The After Party was quite popular this year. Bajeko Sekuwa was booked for after party. About 150 attendees were there. I must say it was more than expected. It was really great chance to talk with fellow attendees, organizational representatives and exploring the ideas.
Since it was discussed and demanded previously, WordCamp Kathmandu Organizing team was able to make the legendary Contributor day in the history of WordPress Nepal community. It was just amazing and a great success. There were about 115 attendees.
Contributor day started with the registration at 10: 00 AM in the morning. It was initially started with introductory session and attendees were very excited. There were divided the team into separate group like Theme Review, Support, Documentation, Polyglots, and Community.
I was so happy to participate WordCamp Kathmandu 2018 as representative of Codeable being a Gold Sponsor. Personally, I would like to thank Codeable for Supporting WordCamp Kathmandu 2018.
It’s really proud moment for me to receive “Token of Love” on behalf of Codeable.
I would also like to thank Catch Themes ( one of the Silver Sponsor of the event ) for surprising gift bundle.
